MedtechWOMEN Advisory Board

Allison Capote is the Director of Research and Development (R&D) at Highridge Medical, where she has played a key role in the organization’s growth and transformation since joining as a Product Development Engineer in 2010. Over the course of multiple mergers and acquisitions—including Lanx, Biomet, Zimmer Biomet, LDR, ZimVie, and now Highridge Medical—she has been a consistent leader driving innovation within a fully focused spine portfolio.

Allison leads cross-functional engineering teams responsible for developing a broad range of spinal technologies, bringing products from initial concept through commercialization. Her work spans diverse clinical applications, including complex deformity correction and interbody fusion for degenerative disc disease, across the full spine from cervical to pelvis, and encompassing both fusion and motion preservation solutions.  She began her career in 2005 as a Product Development Engineer at Medtronic Spine, where she focused on pedicle screw systems and deformity technologies.

Allison holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Based in Colorado, she enjoys an active lifestyle outside of work, spending time with her family, mountain biking, and hiking.
