Rowan Chapman

Rowan is an independent advisor and board member. Her last role was as Head of J&J Innovation, Western North America, leading a team responsible for partnering across the J&J sectors.

Prior to J&J Rowan served as head of healthcare investing at GE Ventures. During that time she led creation the first three healthcare “NewCos” incubated and launched from GE Ventures, including Evidation Health and Vineti. Prior to GE Ventures, Rowan was an executive at GE Healthcare focused on precision medicine.

Before GE, she spent 11 years as a Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures. Her investments included Adamas (ADMS), Balance Therapeutics, HealthTap, RainDance (BioRad), Pacific Biosciences (PACB), ParAllele (AFFX), Sequenta (ADPT) and Verinata (ILMN). Prior to joining Mohr Davidow Ventures, Rowan was very early employee at Rosetta Inpharmatics (MRK) and Incyte Genomics (INCY).

Rowan holds a Ph.D. and first class honors degree in Biochemistry from Cambridge and was a postdoctoral fellow at UCSF.
