Lynne Lyons

Lynne’s 30-year career has been divided between diabetes clinical care & the diabetes industry. Her interest and enthusiasm for improving the lives of people with diabetes led her to work with the California Diabetes and Pregnancy Program (Sweet Success) and provide oversight to a group of Bay Area diabetes clinics focused on Women’s Health. She was one of the initial sales representatives with Therasense (a pioneer in sub microliter blood glucose monitoring and CGM). Following Abbott Diabetes Care’s acquisition of Therasense, Lynne applied that same passion to the development of glucose monitoring devices in a variety of global and US focused roles. Working in Medical and Scientific Affairs, she brings the experience as a clinician and the patient perspective to the culture and products at Abbott. She has supported numerous new product launches including the FreeStyle Libre. Lynne has over 10 diabetes publications and she also was recently named on a patent for analyte sensing.
