Laura Mauri, M.D., M.Sc.

Laura Mauri, M.D., M.Sc., is the Senior Vice President, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer at Medtronic. She leads the global company’s scientific, medical, clinical research, and regulatory affairs functions and is on the Executive Committee. Laura drives the integration of medical and scientific intelligence to inform business decisions and deliver a transformative approach to patient safety and engagement.

Prior to joining Medtronic in 2018, Laura practiced as an interventional cardiologist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital for 15 years where she also completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. She is an internationally renowned investigator and clinical trial expert and was a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Laura received her A.B. from Harvard College and M.D. from Harvard Medical School, both magna cum laude, and M.Sc. (Clinical Epidemiology) from Harvard School of Public Health.
