SPEAKERS DATABASE Jyoti Gupta Speaker Dr. Jyoti Gupta is the President & CEO of Women’s Health & X-ray at GE HealthCare (NASDAQ: GEHC) where she is responsible for leading a $1B+ business focused on mammography, bone & metabolic health, and X-ray. Prior to joining GE HealthCare, Jyoti was the CEO of Volk Optical, a leading global eye-health company and a subsidiary of Halma, Plc, a UK-based FTSE 100 company. At Volk, Jyoti successfully turned around a declining business to achieve record sales and profit via investing in international expansion across India, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, & China, sales channel diversification, enhanced product messaging, award-winning new product launches, and restructuring the organization. Jyoti also transformed the company from a legacy hardware business to a modern, connected device and digital health solutions organization. Prior to Volk, Jyoti spent 6 years at Unilife, a medical device start-up in the drug delivery space. At Unilife, Jyoti served in various capacities, most recently as VP & General Manager of the pre-filled syringe business unit where she built the business segment from the ground up and was instrumental in executing pivotal development and supply agreements with global pharmaceutical partners. At Unilife, Jyoti was an integral part of the executive leadership team and was a key contributor to multiple capital raise rounds from individual and institutional investors, resulting in over $150M cash infusion into the company. Jyoti was a liaison to leading industry analysts covering the company upon going public and appreciates the challenges faced by newly listed public companies. Jyoti was a key member of the executive team leading the company’s strategic alternatives process resulting in a strategic partnership and $90M in financing from a leading biotech company. Previously, Jyoti held roles at large corporations such as Becton Dickinson where she was responsible for strategic marketing of self-injection devices and Medtronic where she was part of a team leading the clinical trial for the first metal-on-metal lumbar disc implant. Jyoti’s is known for her ability to set a clear and strong strategic direction, ability to scale businesses for growth, and her commercial and marketing depth. Jyoti has served as a Board Member at BioChem Fluidics (merged with Diba Industries) from 2017 to 2019 where she provided guidance and advice on digital business models and international expansion. She is currently an advisor on the External Advisory Board at the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has been recognized with the Crain’s Cleveland 40 under 40 award in 2020 and Georgia Tech’s 40 under 40 award in 2021. Jyoti has lived and studied in five different countries including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, India, Kuwait and the United States. Jyoti received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Christian Brothers University and a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
