SPEAKERS DATABASE Holly Vitense Moderator Holly Vitense serves as Vice President and General Manager of Medtronic’s Mechanical Circulatory Support unit, supporting patients globally with the HeartWare Left Ventricular Assist Device (HVAD™). Holly has 22 years of experience at Medtronic, where she has held leadership roles in product development, marketing, clinical research, medical education, and business leadership. Throughout her time at Medtronic, she has been a strategic business leader focused on bringing cardiovascular medical technology to patients around the world. Holly is a member of the Global Medtronic Women’s Network Leadership team and serves as the Executive sponsor for the Miami Florida hub of the Medtronic African Descent Network. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Additionally, Holly has earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering from Wright State University. Holly resides in Maple Grove, MN, with her husband and their teenage daughter. Her son is currently attending college in Ohio.
