Áine Allen

Áine Allen is Divisional Vice President, Enterprise Data, Analytics and AI Solutions at Abbott, responsible for strategy and delivery across enterprise data, AI, advanced analytics, and automation. She leads the development of scalable platforms and governance models that support responsible AI adoption and measurable value creation across Abbott’s global businesses.

Áine has led AI and automation initiatives across operations, supply chain, and commercial functions, delivering quantified gains through predictive analytics and workflow automation. Her recent work includes a GenAI-enabled customer service and complaint intake platform that modernized operations and customer experience. She focuses on translating AI into credible business outcomes in a regulated healthcare environment.

Previously, Áine served as Divisional Vice President, IT Strategy, Planning & International Operations, leading enterprise initiatives to modernize Abbott’s technology estate, build digital and advanced analytics capabilities, strengthen cybersecurity, and deliver operational efficiencies. Before that, she was Divisional Vice President of IT for Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, with global accountability across cardiometabolic disease, infectious disease, and toxicology point of care testing.

Áine joined Abbott in 2005 in Ireland and has held senior roles of increasing responsibility across Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, and IT, spanning the Medical Devices, Nutrition, and Diagnostics businesses. Prior to Abbott, she held roles at 3Com Technologies and HP.

Áine serves as an executive sponsor for Women Leaders of Abbott. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Limerick, a postgraduate in computing from Griffith College Dublin, a graduate diploma in management from the Chartered Management Institute and is a graduate of the women’s senior leadership program at Kellogg Executive Education.
