Adey Pierce-Watkins is a Director in BDO’s Biodefense & Government Contracts practice with over 25 years of expertise in the biodefense industry. Adey leverages her in-depth understanding of the federal acquisition process and program management best practices to develop strategies that drive competitive advantages for clients seeking to effectively partner with the U.S. Government. Prior to joining BDO, Adey served as Director of the Division of Nonclinical Development at the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) within the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR)/Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In addition to her 11+ years of federal service at BARDA, Adey spent over a decade at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) working with federal and private sector clients for the advancement of CBRN MCMs. Adey holds an M.S. degree in Biotechnology Management and is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute.
