HeartFlow is one of the most exciting and dynamic companies in the space of medical technology today.  Using its AI-enabled technology, HeartFlow is revolutionizing personalized heart care in cardiovascular medicine.  Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing, the SeniorDirector/Director of Sales Training & Education is responsible for strategic management and development of robust field training and education strategies, curriculum, training platform, and content for HeartFlow’s technology portfolio. Critical to the success in this role is the development and delivery of high-quality and relevant educational content based on business needs, measurement of content delivery/retention, and certification of the sales force to build a best-in-class sales organization.  This is a people management position, and this person is expected to build out a global sales training team over time.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic management, development, and execution of HeartFlow’s sales training and education efforts to achieve business objectives.
  • Determines global education priorities and programs based on key strategic initiatives and regional educational needs.
  • Provides leadership and vision on the design, planning, and implementation of robust education curriculum and certification process to onboard the HeartFlow salesforce.
  • Collaborates closely with key stakeholders (e.g., downstream marketing, pipeline marketing, sales, and health economics, etc.) to determine training needs and create educational content to enable the sales force to execute on key strategic initiatives
  • Collaborates with commercial leadership to determine and implement training needs on sales force effectiveness.
  • Build a team of training and education professionals over time; expect to manage, develop, coach, and support the team to execute on sales training priorities
  • As the business continues to grow, expand the sales training curriculum and initiatives to new geographic areas to support regional salesforce onboarding and certification, product launches, and selling skills.
  • Ensure development and delivery of content follows Adult Learning Principles and Practices
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for sales training educational resource providers, including negotiating contracts and services in liaison with external vendor organizations.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to develop programs and ensure compliance with all efforts.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferably business, science, or education.
  • 7+ years of medical professional education experience including design and implementation of programs.
  • Previous medical device or healthcare experience in a clinical, marketing or related capacity. Experience with cardiology is preferred.
  • Significant experience working closely with leading physicians on clinical and educational programs.
