Sr. Corporate Strategy and Market Intelligence Manager

The successful candidate will provide intel, insights and recommendations to enable forward-thinking strategies and data-driven decisions as part of iRhythm’s strategic plan. The individual will have primary responsibility for assembling, updating, and applying market intelligence data that will support strategy development and business planning activities. The Corporate Strategy team works closely with iRhythm’s top executives and cross-functional partners to ensure that the company stays on its fast growth trajectory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, integrate, and synthesize market intelligence data related to industry, competitors, market, and product technology trends into actionable recommendations and strategic insights that will inform business strategy.
  • Evaluate the market landscape, monitor changes, and predict trends in market dynamics and competition. Lead the compilation of a recurring market summary report, describing the current and forecasted state of the market across segments and regions
  • Identify, define, and articulate industry, market, and emerging trends and how they may affect iRhythm’s business
  • Provide an objective market viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of customer and market information
  • As the market expert, develop and articulate presentations, reports, and workshops for the leadership team on impactful market and competitive events
  • Provide analytical and qualitative support in the annual strategic planning process (e.g. market share, size and growth rates, segment and geographic growth drivers/inhibitors)
  • Lead market research projects that deliver compelling insights and recommendations to drive superior business decisions and performance
  • Perform SWOT analysis: Assess the key strategic challenges and opportunities of the overall business, lead the insight generation process for determining the impact of these on the business, and deliver recommendations to leadership on best course of action in response
  • Utilize spreadsheets and database applications to expand and integrate market sizing models with product and technology roadmaps integrating both public and private information sources
  • Primary point of contact for the global look on competition working with regional and country marketing to collect and track activities across markets. Update competitive matrix and recommend new dashboards and comparison charts.
  • Support new growth innovation initiatives and white space opportunities through market evaluations and competitive analysis activities
  • Lead special projects to evolve and enhance the Corporate Strategy function and processes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in business, life sciences, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including broad-based experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, strategic marketing and market/financial analysis; top-tier management consulting experience preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking, project management, analytical, communication, presentation skills
  • Effective listener and communicator, able to identify key concepts and organize information across a broad range of topics, convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in materials
  • Broad functional experience in the fundamentals of market and competitive intelligence, market research, market modeling and forecasting and value proposition creation
  • Organized and methodical, with a structured, data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Experienced, hands-on project manager facilitating cross functional teams and managing through significant ambiguity and complexity
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, self-directed, team player with a ‘results-driven’ mindset and who demonstrates agility to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives
  • Not afraid to ‘roll your sleeves up’ and work with details as well as the big picture
  • Relevant life science industry experience preferred, but not required
