Revelle Aesthetics Inc., is a venture-backed, clinical-stage company recently spun out of the ExploraMed incubator and dedicated to the development of progressive solutions in medical aesthetics with an initial focus on cellulite.

Revelle is building a team to bring its innovative new device to market.  We are looking for energetic additions to our team with a go-getter mentality, keen to work in an early stage startup. The clinical engineering team works at the intersection of Clinical, R&D, and Marketing.

The clinical engineering team is currently working according to a flexible hybrid model with some days each month in the office in Mountain View, some days traveling, and some days from home.


The Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a key part in our small team, developing recommendations to optimize clinical results and procedural technique for an innovative medical device.
  • Evaluate and analyze clinical data including before and after photos, patient questionnaires, and safety data. Prepare reports of pre-clinical and clinical data.
  • Extract quantitative data from qualitative videos and photographs.
  • Develop and evaluate hypotheses about predictors of results and patient satisfaction.
  • Translate analytical conclusions to recommendations for technique, patient selection, or patient consultation. Lead cross functional discussions about the strategy and impact of those recommendations.
  • Become an expert on the clinical application of Revelle’s product, the underlying pathophysiology of cellulite, and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D to define clinical performance goals and perform risk assessments. Validate performance of the device relative to those goals.
  • Collaborate with clinical sites, physicians, and patients.
  • Proctor cases in clinical studies evaluating advanced techniques. Create plans and systems to collect data from those studies.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in engineering, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred
  • 4-10 years of medical device industry experience.
  • Proven problem solving and logical thinking skills. Previous experience with experimental design, root cause analysis, or DMAIC a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis. Experience with Minitab or other statistical software a plus. Six sigma experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the field observing clinical cases. Proctoring, training physicians, or other active participation in field support a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members.
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication of ideas, processes, and conclusions. The ability to synthesize data for different audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, good clinical practices, and design control for medical devices

Other Qualifications:

  • Previous start up experience is a plus. Must be a self-starter.
  • Previous experience developing content for medical publications or conference presentations a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and to adapt to changing work priorities.
  • Strong team building and collaboration skills across the organization.
