Past Event MedtechFORUM – Power, Profit and Purpose: The Case for Investing in Femtech for Reproductive Justice Tuesday, September 16, 2025 A Virtual Event Description: MedtechWOMEN invites you to join us for the third episode of 2025 of MedtechFORUM Power, Profit and Purpose: The Case for Investing in Femtech for Reproductive Justice Now more than ever, we need femtech businesses that provide solutions that advance reproductive justice. Even with federal protections weakening, women-founded companies continue to innovate solutions that address critical women’s health issues. Global investment in women’s health reached a record $2.6B in 2024 marking a significant increase from previous years. Yet in 2024, the average deal size for female-founded companies was $9.1M, significantly lower than the $21.6M average for male-founded companies. 2025 has seen increased investment in women’s health but funding disparities continue for women founders that impact their ability to scale and grow their businesses. Studies suggest that investor bias contributes to this gap, with female-led femtech companies receiving 23% less than male-led companies. With 96% of investment decisions being made by men, we celebrate the focus and commitment on women who are leading the way including our panel of femtech innovators and experts in women’s health and reproductive justice. Investing in women’s health, particularly maternal and reproductive health – is essential to achieving reproductive justice. Hear from a diverse panel of women experts who share their knowledge and perspective on why funding women’s health and supporting women founders is critical to advancing reproductive justice.
