The opportunity is going to come in harnessing that data.” “Physicians look at AI tech like any other that’s come before it – Does it help my patients? Does it change and make my work easier? Does it change the treatment landscape and what we can offer to patients for treatments?” “Build a data architecture that is agnostic – how we make all the platform data agnostic and usable across platforms is critical.” Megan Graham: “AI must be safe, reliable, accurate and non-biased.” “With AI, we’re seeing the development of models with assumptions and with quite a bit of data. The question physicians have on AI is ‘does it apply to a particular patient?’ Transparency is so important for assessing patients – how did the model get to a conclusion and does the physician agree.” “We’re seeing a lot of physicians getting additional education on understanding and using AI effectively in their practice. It’s become so important in healthcare that medical schools have opportunities for physicians to learn about AI.” Kate Arnebeck: “AI can be a powerful supplement, coupled with the right understanding of the data that’s being used to power it. “Physicians will require clinical evidence as they more regularly incorporate AI capabilities into their clinical practice.” “AI will never replace physicians, but can shift some tasks to less specialized care providers and enable healthcare democratization.” Event Photos View All Past Events Share This
