MedtechVision 2013 Will Focus on How to Create Value in Medtech Today
Menlo Park, Calif. – July 29, 2013 – MedtechWomen today announced that registration is open for MedtechVision 2013, the third annual conference designed by and for women on the forefront of medical innovation. The conference will be held September 10, 2013, at the Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, Calif. A discount of $200 is available for conference attendees who register on or before Thursday, August 1.
The conference will host more than 25 distinguished panelists and speakers, including business leaders, inventors, investors, physicians and policymakers. The event will feature keynotes from Sue Siegel, CEO, healthymagination, GE, and Kelly Corrigan, New York Times bestselling author and cancer survivor.
“The theme of this year’s conference – value – centers around the concept of providing better care to more with less,” said Amy Belt, co-founder of MedtechWomen and director of Covidien Ventures. “It is clear that the medtech industry needs to innovate to meet this challenge. At this year’s conference, we’ll explore several ways to accomplish this: driving value from within, innovating for value, funding value stories, adding new services that amplify the value of the medical technology and answering the unique demands of emerging markets. This year’s set of experts will lead us through these areas and share what they’ve learned and what we can adopt to meet the challenge of driving value in today’s healthcare environment.”
“Any definition of value involves relative differences between product benefits and cost and customers’ perception of those—so to truly explore value requires that we again have multiple stakeholder voices at MedtechVision 2013,” said Deborah Kilpatrick, Ph.D., MedtechWomen co-founder and chief commercial officer of CardioDx. “The conference has set a precedent for highlighting the spectrum of voices involved in health care delivery, and this year will follow suit to ensure we fully address this intriguing topic.”
Panel topics include:
• Industry Adaptation – Driving Value from Within
• Saving Money to Raise Money – Funding Value Stories
• Key Stakeholders Debate: Whose Value Is it Anyway?
• Creating Value with Business Innovation in Med Tech
