Nancy has over 25 years of experience in the clinical and business elements of orthopedics. She is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopædic Surgeons. She earned an MD from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic and a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the Indiana Hand Center. She practiced for eight years, then pursued a MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, following which she worked in the venture capital industry.
Nancy’s firm, Advisorthopædics Incorporated, which is focused exclusively on innovation in orthopedics, provides consultation services to a range of entities developing products for musculoskeletal care. Facilitating the translation of clinical needs into viable solutions with commercial potential is the company’s goal. Clients include private and public companies, contract research organizations, and investors.
